Guy is owner and Managing Director of the Mayfair Interior Design firm, Oliver Laws Ltd, whose projects have included The Connaught Hotel, Claridge’s and Number 10 Downing Street as well as a long list of important properties, yachts and aircraft around the world. In addition, Guy has worked closely with a number of charities including The Turquoise Mountain Foundation and START (two of HRH The Prince of Wales’s initiatives), The Aid to Zimbabwe Trust and the UK Pattern Archive. He has also been responsible for establishing relationships between private patrons and museums and charitable projects, securing significant levels of funding for these.

Layla Moosavi

Layla has 16 years fundraising experience in the charitable sector and the arts. As well as freelancing as a fundraising trainer, mentor and consultant, she also works part time in the training and development team at the Women’s Resource Centre; and specialises in corporate fundraising and account management. Layla’s corporate clients have included JP Morgan, Accenture, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg; and not-for-profit clients have included: Barbican, Kids, Trinity Hospice, British Deaf Association, and Action Planning.

Matt is a multidisciplinary designer who runs a freelance design company located in the north west of the UK. In recent years he has designed for social good on an international scale, creating campaigns and brand identification for a multitude of causes. This has included his role as creative director for the Atlantic Whale Foundation’s expanding range of conservation and humanitarian projects.

Helen O’Brien

Helen has over 15 years experience in fundraising. She joined us after five years as Head of Corporate Fundraising at Sense and Sense International. Prior to that Helen led a team of corporate fundraisers at the British Heart Foundation. She has also managed a capital campaign for London’s Contemporary Dance Trust. Most recently Helen has been developing a fundraising strategy for a small NGO working in the legal field, and gaining experience in public affairs and local government lobbying.

His articles have appeared in numerous publications ranging from The Times to the New Yorker. He is deputy editor of Spear’s, the bi-monthly magazine for high-net-worth individuals, which covers such areas as asset management, international taxation policy, philanthropy, cultural support, luxury lifestyle, and reflections in business and financial history. He has considerable expertise in tailoring messages for various client needs. Among his cultural preoccupations, he is chairman of the Serse Trust, which raises funds for baroque opera group Ensemble Serse.

Karina Gonzales

Karina is an ACCA Part-Qualified Chartered Accountant, holding a degree in Accounting and Finance with Taxation as well as a Diploma in Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Executive Secretarial Studies. Karina is a volunteer for Children in Crisis, and a member of a folk dance group which has performed for various entertainment and fundraising events, including the Isle of White Festival, London’s 2013 New Year’s Day Parade and Strictly Come Hospice Latin Sensation.

Savraj joined us after an MSc in Disasters, Adaptation & Development. Her not-for-profit sector experience includes working in events championing independent journalism at London’s Frontline Club, community and research work for human rights in South Asia, a HIV/AIDS project in Southern Africa. She has also assisted in crisis management training with UN, EU and country-level civil protection representatives. A fundamental belief in responsibilities of all persons for greater good drew her to Scott Prenn.

Town Hall Meeting with Senator John McCain

The Town Hall meeting was held at the American School in London and students from six other London schools were invited to hear the Senator speak about the importance of participation in the political process. The Senator also reflected on his experience of his ’08 election campaign before engaging with the incredibly bright and opinionated students on topics including democracy, the economy and international interventions.

That evening, Scott Prenn coordinated an intimate fundraising dinner with the Senator at Harry’s Bar in Mayfair, in support of Governor Mitt Romney. All guests were treated to a thoroughly thought-provoking discussion, moderated by Baroness Wheatcroft of the Wall Street Journal Europe. With the help of our fantastic committed London Finance Committee, Scott Prenn raised $500,000 for the presidential campaign.
